Navdanya successfully organised a mango festival at its Biodiversity Conservation farm at village Ramgarh on Old Shimla Road in Dehradun. About 75 people including some of the Navdanya family members were present at the occasion.

Participants were briefed about Mango and its varieties and history. Navdanya's Organic Mango orchard was visited where people saw 9 varieties of Mango hanging on the trees.

Mango tasting of 9 varieties was done before lunch. Mango varieties included Deshari, Langra, Malda, Gulab Jamun, Fazli, Chausa etc.

Lunch was also served to the participants, which included, Mango Pana, Red rice Mango salad, Mango rice, Mango sambar,  Mago Pulao, Jhangora Kheer with Mango flavour, Mango Chutney and Mix veg. with mango.
