Navdanya successfully organised a training course  "Soil Not Oil" from 3-5th September at its Biodiversity conservation farm in village Ramgarh on old shimla road in Doon valley. Total of 26 participants including interns from India and abroad participated in the training course. Participants included farmers from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, students, activists and academicians from different countries acros the world, namely: Morocco, Italy, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Sweden,  Germany and U.K.

Teachers included Dr.Vandana Shiva, Dr. V.P. Uniyal, Entomologist, Wild Life Institute of India (WII), Dr. Vinod Kumar Bhatt and Navdanya team. Participants were given both theoretical lectures and hands on training on different techniques of rebuilding soils, identification of plants and pollinators.
