Bhutanese farmers and Agriculture officers are on exposure tour of India. the exposure is organised by Navdanya from 22nd March to 4th of april 2011. On 22nd afternoon the group was received by Navdanya Programme Coordinator Mr. Darwan Singh Negi at New Delhi. On 23rdand 24th group interacted with Punjab farmers to understand the impact of the Green Revolution, including farmers suicides.

Dr. Vandana Shiva and Sri Inder Jeet Singh Jai Jee briefed the group about the impact of Green revolution in Punjab. The farmers and Agriculture officers of Bhutan interacted with the farmers of village Chooral Kalan of district Patiala in Punjab and also met the widows of the farmers who committed suicide in recent past due to heavy debt.
