A group of 27 farmers and Agriculture officers from Bhutan are on exposure tour to Navdanya frm 22nd March to 4th April 2011. During this perioud they were in Punjab for couple of days in the begining. During 25th March  - 4th April the group will be given training by Navdanya on Biodiversity based organic farming  at Bija Vidyapeeth as part of Navdanya's partnership with Govt of Bhutan to make a transition to 100% organic Bhutan.

During this period other than lectures on different techniques of organic farming including composting, vermicomposting, mulching, green manuring..........., importance of pollinators in organic farming, Pest management with the available resources, Seed selection, post harves management etc. Hands on training will also be given to farmers. other than this farmers will be interacting with the farmers of three different agroecological zones in Dehradun and rudraprayag districts.

Farmers will also have an opportunity to learn making squashs, jams and pickles in district Rudraprayag from the Mahila Anna Swaraj groups of Navdanya.
